I'm stuck again. I can't even find the Compass so far, and I explored as much as I think I could. I see lots of unlit lanterns that I can't reach, so am I supposed to get some sort of Fire Rod later?

There is a room in the B2F on the top of the big central room where you didn't go. Use bomb and break the wall.
