I'm stuck again. I can't even find the Compass so far, and I explored as much as I think I could. I see lots of unlit lanterns that I can't reach, so am I supposed to get some sort of Fire Rod later?

There is a room in the B2F on the top of the big central room where you didn't go. Use bomb and break the wall.

1F, the big room on top right corner. You are able to reach the door on the bottom-left corner.
